Creative Strategist | Enterprise Leader
The Art of Realizing an Idea…
…in its finest form !
Ideas are not owned…they emerge, evolve, and belong to those who dare to shape them. In the realm of entertainment, they begin as fragments of imagination, gradually taking form through layers of craft, collaboration, and interpretation.
From the first spark to the final frame, an idea travels through many minds and many hands…each adding, refining, and challenging its direction. Along this journey, it is constantly tested against the realities of time, cost, and quality.
The true discipline lies not in controlling these forces, but in balancing them, without losing the spirit of the original thought.
This is where creation becomes art…
…the art of realizing an idea in its finest form.

CAREER
CAREER MILESTONES & INDUSTRY IMPACT
1985 – 1989 | Classical Foundations & Early Direction
Prafull began his professional journey in 1985 at RAAM Films Pvt. Ltd., contributing to early animated initiatives such as Chhota Hanuman, whose trailer was screened at Annecy. Under the mentorship of R. L. Bhalerao, he developed strong foundations in classical animation principles and camera operations.
During this early phase, he worked on the 8-episode animated television series Panchatantra for Durga Khote Productions, one of India’s respected production houses of that period. Alongside animation, he illustrated titles for Amar Chitra Katha and Diamond Comics under the guidance of Pratap Mulick, refining narrative discipline and visual storytelling instincts.
At Motion Graphics Pvt. Ltd., he directed one of India’s early long-format 2D animated television series based on Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, marking his transition from animator to structured content leadership. This period established his grounding in narrative timing, production discipline, and visual execution.
1990–1996 | Digital Transition & CGI Establishment – Prasad Studios
The early 1990s marked India’s shift toward digital post-production. At Prasad Video Digital (now EFX Studios), Prafull transitioned from classical animation into emerging CGI and visual effects technologies.
As Head of Animation & VFX, he contributed to over 200 commercial films and multiple regional and Hindi feature projects during the formative years of digital adoption in India. He was among the early professionals to work on Silicon Graphics systems and video-to-film transfer processes, enabling CGI and video content to be output onto 35mm film during the transitional era between analog and digital cinema.
He also contributed to launching structured animation training initiatives that bridged academic instruction with studio production practice. This phase marked his evolution from animator to digital production leader and technical innovator.
1996–2004 | Entrepreneurship & Studio Operations – Chromatic Technologies
In 1996, Prafull founded Chromatic Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a boutique 2D, 3D, and VFX studio serving advertising agencies, filmmakers, and international clients across Singapore, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and the United Kingdom.
Under his leadership, the studio delivered over 150 commercials and contributed to multiple feature film projects. This phase demanded creative supervision alongside financial management, infrastructure investment, resource optimization, and direct client negotiations.
He also established Cybergate, a multimedia training institute that expanded through franchise partnerships, reinforcing his long-term commitment to skill development in India.
Though the studio was eventually wound down due to scaling constraints in a rapidly consolidating outsourcing market, this chapter became a defining lesson in production economics, risk assessment, and institutional resilience.
2004–2007 | Corporate Scale & International Structuring – Escotoonz
As Chief Operating Officer of Escotoonz Entertainment, part of the Escorts Group, Prafull entered a corporate studio environment where creative production required structured governance and financial discipline.
He led international collaborations with Decode Entertainment (Canada), Denoux Productions (Australia), Cyberdodo Productions (Monaco), PorchLight Entertainment (USA), and Awesome Kids (USA), delivering projects such as King, Cyberdodo, Valise & Bloke, Emeralds Key, and Tiny Tods. Under his leadership, the studio expanded to over 700 artists and established scalable 2D and 3D production pipelines.
During this tenure, he led a complex financial and quality realignment on a prestigious international co-production with Cyberdodo Productions (Monaco), supported by the World Travel & Tourism Council and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Upon identifying a misalignment between agreed rates and elevated quality expectations, he aligned the Board, the overseas producer, and Bank of Luxembourg to secure revised financial approval, ensuring delivery at the required international standard.
This phase marked his full transition into enterprise-scale operations leadership and international financial coordination.
2007–2010 | Original IP, Integrated Pipelines & Monetization – Reliance Big Animation
At Reliance Big Animation, Prafull served as Vice President and Executive Producer during India’s IP-driven expansion phase.
He led the creation of Little Krishna, a 3D animated television property developed in collaboration with ISKCON and broadcast on Nickelodeon India, later securing international distribution through Evergreen Entertainment (USA). The series received multiple national and international recognitions.
He formulated cross-functional production mechanisms and built an integrated VFX pipeline in collaboration with Slash-FX Studio (San Francisco), enabling cross-border execution for projects including Friendly Plant for Microsoft and over 170 VFX shots for a Hollywood feature.
Additional development initiatives included original IP concepts such as Beezee Bees, Ek Tha Ghadda, Ghost Station, and Son of Monkey King, reflecting early-stage content creation and concept development within structured production environments.
He also contributed to establishing “Big AIMS,” an educational academy within the Reliance ecosystem, mentoring students through production-oriented training models.
This chapter deepened his integration of content creation, monetization frameworks, and production governance.
2011–Present | Global Studio Leadership – Company3 Method / Deluxe Legacy
In 2011, Prafull joined DigiCaptions India Pvt. Ltd., part of the legacy Deluxe Entertainment Services group, now operating as Company3 Method Inc., USA.
Over time, he progressed from Operations Director to Vice President of International Production, and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director, and Chairman of the Board for the India operations.
He has overseen large-scale stereoscopic conversion and post-production delivery for globally recognized titles including Titanic 3D, Jurassic Park 3D, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Life of Pi, Star Trek: Into Darkness, and Pacific Rim, collaborating with studios such as Disney, Marvel, Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, and Industrial Light & Magic.
From classical animation desks to enterprise-scale global studios, his journey reflects continuous adaptation across technology, business models, and creative ecosystems. His focus remains on strengthening institutional capability, aligning creative ambition with commercial sustainability, and positioning India as a reliable partner in the global media value chain.
Across multiple formats, from feature films and broadcast series to advertising, original intellectual property, and large-scale studio operations, his work spans the full content lifecycle. This includes development, production architecture, pipeline design, quality governance, and secure international delivery.
What follows is a curated overview of selected work categories that demonstrate not only creative output, but strategic leadership within complex global production ecosystems.

His contribution evolved from strengthening cross-studio production alignment across Burbank, Toronto, and Pune to refining in-house quality review systems, expanding animation services, establishing pipeline research and development functions, and supporting end-to-end production ownership across cost, quality, and schedule parameters.
This progression reflects sustained contribution to the operational architecture required to deliver at global standards.
& India Heritage Foundation
He worked directly with broadcasters, structured content pitches, negotiated telecast agreements, and contributed to revenue frameworks encompassing merchandising, territorial rights, and cross-platform amortization.
From early broadcast series such as Panchatantra and the Sunil Gavaskar television series to landmark 3D properties such as Little Krishna, his broadcast work reflects an integrated understanding of storytelling, pipeline execution, and content economics.
Operating during India’s shift from analog formats to 35mm film and digital post-production, he navigated evolving color calibration, film scanning, and video-to-film output workflows at a time when rendering capabilities were limited.
As a Fine Arts graduate trained in visual design and branding principles, he aligned storytelling aesthetics with brand identity, contributing to campaigns for Coca-Cola, Fanta, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, Cadbury, Asian Paints, Ford, MRF, and Clinic Plus, working with agencies including HTA, Lintas, Ogilvy & Mather, Mudra, and McCann Erickson.
This segment strengthened his ability to merge branding insight, technical execution, and disciplined delivery under tight commercial timelines.
He contributed to rights structuring, broadcaster negotiations, and multi-territory distribution alignment, defining revenue pathways across licensing, merchandising, ancillary rights, and cross-platform amortization.
During the formative outsourcing era, he represented Indian studio capabilities at global markets including MIPCOM, MIPTV, Annecy, Kidscreen, and Ottawa, developing balanced production models aligning creative scope with financial feasibility.
Across corporate tenures, he continued structuring international agreements and co-production frameworks across North America, Europe, and Australia, reinforcing contractual clarity and long-term commercial sustainability.
His leadership has emphasized structured operating frameworks, performance visibility, disciplined cost governance, and scalable delivery models across distributed global teams.
As the India operations became the largest production center within the Company3 global network, he expanded its mandate beyond creative services to include global IT-IO and finance support functions for the wider group.
The Indian operations have consistently met international audit standards and received corporate recognition for QA processes, security protocols, and employee-centric policies.
Successfully led 25+ international client and third-party audits, securing approvals from global studios and platforms including Amazon, Apple, Disney, Marvel, Netflix, Paramount, Sony, Warner Bros., Fox, and HBO, as well as industry bodies such as the Motion Picture Association (MPA), Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA), and Global Risk Consultants (GRA).
